I wrote three serials with Detective Castro for Homem magazine. Stairway to Heaven was the last of them, mixing a Dashiel Hammet police classic (strange curse, orThe Dain Course), and excerpts from Frank Zappa's rock opera,Joe's Garage. Castro begins investigating a theft of jewelry in a mansion and ends up getting involved with a sect of fanatics in Campos do Jordão.
