Eu não sou esse tipo de jornalista arrogante (e tão comum hoje em dia) que diz que vai "explicar tudo" sobre algum assunto. Especialmente quando abordo um assunto completamente fora das minhas especialidades.

Escrevi para a revista Oeste desta semana um artigo sobre o uso prático da tecnologia quântica. Usei como base um artigo da revista Science Focus e Phillip Ball, o autor da matéria da SF, especialista em ciência, deixa claro: “A física quântica é confusa. Realmente confusa. Você não vai acreditar o quão grandemente, enormemente, surpreendentemente confusa ela é".

Meu artigo focou no aspecto prático da matéria, já que os aspectos teóricos não são para um leigo como eu. O fato é que calcula-se que em apenas 10 anos a tecnologia quântica vai estar presente em nossas vidas em muitos detalhes, e em campos diversos como a medicina, a meteorologia, a conexão entre computadores, motores, etc. Tudo vai estar muito mais poderoso e extremamente mais rápido.

A título de comparação, é bom lembrar que a inteligência artificial parecia um sonho distante há apenas dez anos. E hoje está nos celulares de todo mundo.

Journey into the Quantum Universe

I am not that kind of arrogant journalist (so common these days) who says he will "explain everything" about a subject. Especially when I address a subject completely outside my area of ​​expertise.

I wrote an article for Oeste magazine this week about the practical use of quantum technology. I used an article from Science Focus magazine as a basis, and Phillip Ball, the author of the SF article, a science expert, makes it clear: “Quantum physics is confusing. Really confusing. You won't believe how hugely, enormously, surprisingly confusing it is.”

My article focused on the practical aspect of the subject, since the theoretical aspects are not for a layman like me. The fact is that it is estimated that in just 10 years quantum technology will be present in our lives in many details, and in diverse fields such as medicine, meteorology, the connection between computers, engines, etc. Everything will be much more powerful and extremely faster.

For comparison, it is worth remembering that artificial intelligence seemed like a distant dream just ten years ago. And today it is on everyone's cell phones.
